Johnny started playing guitar around the age of 12 listening to bands like Metallica, Skid Row, GnR, and Anthrax. He formed his first band while still in school playing gigs around central Illinois over roughly a year and a half. During this time a friendship was formed with brothers Arling and their new band at the time already known as the Last Vegas. Upon moving back to Chicago the Vegas changed members adding Johnny to guitar. The rest is rock n roll history. He currently lives in Chicago near Avondale, a neighborhood known for its killer selection of meat and beer on the cheap. Hobbies include fire, hammers, lawnchairs, piano and blues harmonica.
