BIO

Rock! Trash! Garage! Glam!

The Chicago based, The Last Vegas deliver hi-energy spectacles, with a deliciously trashy, roughed-up edge, eliciting the inner rock star in all of us. Armed with their unbridled, raw talent, The Last Vegas posses the ability to musically beat crowds into submission, leaving fans no choice but to beg for more.

With influences like Johnny Thunders, AC/DC, Black Flag, Misfits, Guns N' Roses and the Sex Pistols, The Last Vegas sought out rambunctious music to get their adolescent blood pumping. The bands' first concerts include Cheap Trick, AC/DC and KISS, influencing them as they grew up in punk rock clubs throughout the local Chicago & Michigan scene.

Living the small town life in Normal, IL (really), the members of The Last Vegas were anything but. Brothers Adam and Nathan began the line-up, playing house parties and booking underground national/international touring bands in town. John was on the same path, and soon the three connected through blasting loud music late at night and jam sessions to irritate the neighbors.

Creatively in sync, the Last Vegas signed an indie/European label deal w/ Get Hip Records, made the decision to head to Chicago for some new action. It was there that the three met their lead vocalist, Chad Cherry at a Roller Derby Girl event a year later. Chad then brought ex-band mate and childhood friend, Danny Smash into the line-up to stack the rhythm section.

In 2006 The Last Vegas released their second album, relentlessly touring the USA plus a 2-month headlining European Tour crossing 14 countries. By years' end The Last Vegas had a hard-riffin' single, "Raw Dog" selected for release on Guitar Hero 2, the international multi-million-selling video game. The boys then received an invitation to play NBC Sport's Dew Extreme Sports Tour in Portland, OR, for a capacity stadium crowd and national televised audience.

2008 The Last Vegas released a 13-song self-titled album, distributed exclusively in Europe by Cargo Records DK. Months later mid US tour, Guitar Center Onstage flew the band to Los Angeles for the chance to play in front of Motley Crue at the world famous Whisky A-Go-Go, for a chance to open two months of stadium concerts on Motely's 2009 Saints of Los Angeles tour. The Last Vegas claimed victory over the "greatest prize in rock," which catapulted them into a dream sequence of writing, recording and producing their first single with Nikki Sixx as a signed band, and a gig opening for Motley at the Hollywood Palladium four days later. It was that night at the Palladium when the announcement was made the band would also be going on tour with Motley in 2009.

"The overall talent and energy of The Last Vegas surpassed our expectations," said Motley Crue's Vince Neil. "Motley Crue is excited to pass the torch on to these amazing musicians, just as Ozzy did for us over 25 years ago."

January 2009 the band left home for LA and went into the studio with acclaimed producers Nikki Sixx, DJ Ashba and Marti Frederiksen (Aerosmith, Mick Jagger and Buckcherry) to record their first single, "I'm Bad." The single was premiered exclusively on AOL just two weeks after the competition. At midnight the following day, iTunes became the exclusive digital single retailer and notified their email list of over 40 million people that The Last Vegas' new single was available for download.

In April 2009, The Last Vegas released Whatever Gets You Off in the United States, and toured supporting Buckcherry, AC/DC, Papa Roach, New York Dolls, Tesla and many others. iTunes selected the album's first single, 'I'm Bad' as "Rock Single of the Year 2009". iTunes also released this single as Single of the Week, generating 340,000 downloads to iTunes listeners. iTunes (apparently they dig it) also selected Whatever Gets You Off as one of "Top 15 Rock Albums of the Year" alongside Pearl Jam, Them Crooked Vultures, The Dead Weather and Black Crowes.

Billboard Magazine summarized: "They combine rock, glam, and garage for an ass-kicking sound. No doubt rock'n'roll is here to stay."

The Last Vegas are currently finishing material for a follow-up album for a spring 2011 release in UK, Europe & United States.

The Last Vegas have made festival appearances at Sweden's Gearfest, Italy's Bridgestock Festivo, Denmark's Primitive Fest, Milwaukee's Summerfest, Austin's South By Southwest, Belgium's Sjock Festival, CMJ, Sleazefest, Van's Extreme Sports Tour, Montreal's Degeneration Overdrive, Rocklahoma, Rockford Speedway's Memorial Day Event, Saints of Los Angeles 2009 Tour with Theory of a Deadman, Hinder and Motley Crue, and finally AC/DC's last US 2010 tour stop as direct support for their idols.

The band has been featured on Guitar Hero 2, Nascar.com, NBC Sports, UK's Kerrang Radio, MTV, MTV2, Fox, Fuel TV, Fearless TV/Radio, Q101, WLUP, The G-Hole, Camel Farm Program and was honored to be the official music of Kyle Busch Motor Sports. The first single, "I'm Bad" was also featured in the bed of national Guitar Center radio spots. Then band will also drink all your whiskey and make a mess of your house.
